Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children (WISC)

WISC stands for Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children and is a group of tests that are designed for testing the intelligence quotient (IQ) of school age children. Originally developed by David Wechsler, it is currently in its 4th revision (WISC-R IV) and was designed as a test that could be administered without reading or writing tasks for students 6-16 to generate a score that accurately reflects general cognitive abilities.
