Social Distancing

Social distancing is a course of action taken to slow the spread of a highly contagious disease; such measure includes prohibiting public gatherings (such as parades, conferences, and festivals), suspending classes, cancelling of flights, implementing curfews, and encouraging individuals to be at least 6 feet away from each other. The Health Officer has the legal authority to implement this set of non-pharmaceutical infection control actions.

For instance, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, most employees were given directives to work from home, public events were cancelled, schools closed, restaurants were only permitted to serve take out, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) urged that all gatherings of more than 50 people should be suspended or cancelled for eight weeks, community quarantines were imposed in various territories around the globe and these executive orders were changing daily due to the seriousness of the virus. Although, the term is slightly misleading in that they're really talking about physical distancing. You can still find alot of ways of being social without being close to eachother!
