Scoliosis

Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine. It is a medical condition that causes the spine to adopt a C-or S-shaped curve that typically first affects a person between age 10 and 20 and affects women more commonly men. It can range from mild to severe but is generally not a painful condition, although it can be physically limiting. Moderate to severe scoliosis is treated by use of a back brace and/or surgery while mild cases are monitored and eased by exercise and chiropractic treatment.
