Ovulation

Ovulation refers to the monthly release of an egg during a woman's menstruation cycle. It is the start of a woman's "fertile" period when she is most likely to conceive a child. Physically, this is when a part of the ovary (known as ovarian follicle) releases an egg into the fallopian tube which leads to the uterus. The egg is also called an ovum, oocyte, or female gamete.
