Organogenesis

Organogenesis is the process of production and development of a plant or animal’s internal organs and body parts. For instance, in humans, the first organ to be formed is the heart (around 18 to 19 days after fertilization). Generally, this phase of embryonic development continues until birth among animals while it continues until death among plants (since they regularly produce leaves, flowers, lateral branches, and lateral roots).
