Morbidity is generally the quality of being unhealthy. It also refers to the state of being ill or the rate of disease in a certain group of people. Moreover, it can pertain to the medical problems because of a treatment. Morbidity is also used to refer to an unhealthy state of mind. For example, the morbidity of mental health patients is exacerbated by poverty and discrimination.
