Matricide

Matricide is the killing of one’s mother. This can happen for many reasons with anger, hate and greed being the most common motivations.

For instance, Sidney Harry Fox was hanged in 1930 for murdering his own mother. Apparently, Fox’s motive was to gain from his mother’s insurance. Moreover, there were reports of Okinawan villagers killing their own mothers to prevent them from being raped, tortured, or killed by American invaders in 1945.
