Jane Loevinger Weissman

Jane Loevinger Weissman (1918-2008) was an American developmental psychologist. She was a student as well as a research assistant of Erik Erikson, a German-American developmental psychologist and psychoanalyst. Weissman is one of the pioneers of feminist studies; she looked into the plight of women and mothers. She is specifically known for the psychology of ego development.
