Ideology

An Ideology is a collection of values and beliefs which may not be based on facts. These system of ideas may also be the foundation of socio-economic and political theories as well as policies. For example, capitalistic ideology supports the freedom of private ownership. Ideologies have also been instrumental in motivating revolutions. For example, Marxist ideals such as “there should be no social classes” inspired communist revolutions.
