Hypnotic Regression

Hypnotic regression is a process by which an individual enters a trance and recalls deeply hidden past experiences (especially during childhood). The hypnotist guides the client back through time to certain crucial events which were forgotten due to the anxiety or distress which they bring. For instance, a middle-aged-man could not remember significant/painful events about his late childhood: through hypnosis, he was able to recall dramatic memories. With the help of a qualified expert, he was able to resolve his inner conflicts through several counseling sessions.
