Hospital Phobia (aka Nosocomephobia)

Hospital phobia or Nosocomephobia is having the irrational fear of hospital buildings, facilities, and/or its representations. Though it is normal for many people to feel anxious when visiting hospitals, those with nosocomephobia have intense fears that they refuse to go even during life-threatening situations. They often realize that it is an irrational fear but they are still unable to control their anxiety. Specifically, their phobia makes them go through obsessive worrying, panic attacks, nausea, increased heart rate, rapid breathing, excessive sweating, and extreme avoidance behavior.
