Gemeinschaftsgefühl (feeling For Community)

Gemeinschaftsgefühl (“feeling for community”), also meaning social interest or social feeling, was a concept used by Alfred Adler to describe deep feelings of fellowship and connectedness with the community, as well as the innate desire displayed by human beings to care for others and contribute for the common good. According to Adler, experiencing profound interest in others and engaging in cooperative and caring behaviors are important determinants of psychological well-being. It leads to the construction of healthy relationships and the satisfaction of basic human social needs.
