Folkways are considered to be the traditional lifestyle of a community along with the casual interactions of people in a community. This includes traditional housing, food, typical dress, rituals, beliefs, and day-to-day lifestyles (work, play, faith. etc.) that are considered to be the traditional lifestyle of a community. These folkways are studied by sociologists as a means of understanding and preserving traditional ways such as technologies, food procural/preparation, rituals, and spiritual beliefs. Once documented and preserved these can be evaluated and compared to other similar cultures.
