Event Memory

An event memory is a recollection of a specific occurrence which includes vivid details. Studies have shown that the brain parts amygdala, associated with emotional memories, and hippocampus, linked with memorization, are particularly essential in remembering such events. Also, novel event memories such as “first relationship”, “first job”, and “most embarrassing moment” are the ones which are most easily and vividly remembered.
