Embolus

An embolus is an air bubble, blood clot, piece of fatty deposit, foreign bodies, or similar mass which may get stuck in a blood vessel. Embolus came from the Greek word “embolus” which translates to “peg” or “stopper”. Emboli travel through the bloodstream and cause blockage or embolism which may lead to complications such as hypertension and lung damage.
