Criterion Validity

Criterion Validity, also called predictive validity, measures the degree to which the test scores measuring one test criterion is consistent with other criterion being measured. For instance, if an achievement test is aimed at measuring a normal 5th grader's achievement, it is important that both the language skills and mathematics tests are properly calibrated for an average 5th grader.
