Correctional Psychology

Correctional psychology focuses on inmates’ psychological evaluation, crisis management, staff training, consulting, and counseling. This subfield of psychology is unique in that it focuses on working with a population that is frequently uncooperative, belligerent, and psychologically disturbed. Hence, it has a great focus on abnormal psychology.
