Convolution

Convolutions are the fold and wrinkles of the cortex of the brain. When something is described as convoluted it implies it is twisting, folding, and complicated. The wrinkly convolutions of the brain allows more surface area to be in a smaller space. More surface area provides space for more neurons and more information to be stored.
