Community Mental Health Facility

A Community Mental Health Facility provides psychiatric care and behavioral health services for residents of all ages living in the surrounding community. Depending on the facility, these services may include inpatient and outpatient treatment, emergency care, individual and family therapy, support groups, health education, screenings, and psychosocial rehabilitation. Some community mental health centers are funded by the government, whereas some are funded by private groups or charitable organizations.
