Cogwheel Rigidity

"Cogwheel" rigidity refers to a neurological condition where the muscles attached to joints will alternately flex and relax without conscious control. This is caused by damage to the basal ganglia and is associated with many different neurological conditions, particularly Parkinson's disease.
