Caste

A "caste" is a social grouping term, most often used in reference to the social stratification found in East Indian culture. Traditionally, these caste groupings led to heavily circumscribed lives and controlled social standing as well as heavily influencing work and educational opportunities, choice of marriage partners, and many other life matters.
