Bronchodilator

A bronchodilator is a medication which makes breathing easier by increasing airflow to the lungs. As its name suggests, bronchodilators widen the bronchi (passageway) and relax the lung muscles. These substances are often prescribed to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Some of the common bronchodilators are salbutamol, tiotropium, and theophylline.
