Automatic Obedience

Automatic obedience is when an individual obeys all orders, commands, and instructions from another person without question or concern. They perform what is requested of them even if it is something they normally wouldn't do. It is a mechanical obedience that is like a robot performing commands automatically and without question. This is a symptom of catatonia - the sufferer isn't responding to external stimuli properly.
