Arrythmia

Arrythmia refers to an episode in which a person may experience variations in their heartbeat (speeding up, slowing down, irregular beating) sometimes experienced as fluttering or palpitations. This is caused by interference with the electrical impulses that regulate the heartbeat. Although sometimes this is harmless, these episodes can range from bothersome to life threatening and should be medically evaluated.
