Aminoketone

An aminoketone is a chemical compound that contains both a ketone group and an amine. Functioning as stimulants, there are many compounds in this group: athinone, bupropion, mephedrone, MDPV, amfepramone, Pyrovalerone, Adrenolone, Ephedrone, Methadone, molindone, Pimeclone, Ferruginine, and Tropinone. Buproprion, commercially known as Wellbutrin and used as an antidepressant, is the only one that is currently used in psychology. Methadone, used as a substitute for heroin, is used in substance abuse treatment.
