American Psychological Association (APA)

The American Psychological Association (APA) is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychologists and researchers. The APA has many goals including spreading knowledge about psychology and its applications, maintaining ethical research guidelines, standardizing research protocol, establishing qualifications for professionals, and fostering collaboration between researchers. They promote the advancement of psychology as a science and encourage empirical research. APA format is a standardized format for writing research papers which is used by many research fields other than psychology.
