Amblyopia

Amblyopia, one of three conditions known collectively as "lazy eye," is characterized by the inability to see accurately despite the use of eyeglasses. Usually, only one eye is affected but it can also occur in both eyes. This is often reported as caused by strabismus. Using eye patches is often prescribed to train the brain to acknowledge the visual input from the weaker eye.
