Ahypnia is viewed by many experts as an almost extinct term for insomnia as it is the profound difficulty to fall asleep. Many dictionaries define ahypnia as “see insomnia” or “same as insomnia”. Some non-medical dictionaries do not contain the word “ahypnia”.
