Abstinence syndrome (another name for drug withdrawal) is the group of symptoms that occur upon the abrupt discontinuation or decrease in intake of medications or recreational drugs. With some variance depending on the substance that is being withdrawn from from these symptoms can include anxiety, sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, irritability, fatigue, shaking, sweating, nausea, insomnia, headache, and difficulty concentrating.
