Neurotic Disorder

Neurotic Disorder is a category of ailments formerly used in the DSM-III to describe mental disorders that cause significant distress but do not arise from brain abnormalities and where the subject does not display irrational thought patterns. This category no longer exists in more recent versions of the DSM.
