Longitudinal Fissure

Longitudinal fissure describes the area that separates the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It is a groove or rift that divides the cerebrum.The anterior cerebral arteries are located throughout the bottom of the longitudinal fissure and the upper surface of the corpus callosum which connects the two hemispheres of the brain and allows them to communicate with each other.
