Illusory Contours

illusory Contours refers to the visual phenomenon or optical illusion of perceiving contours (curves, etc.) in an object where none exist. For example, this may occur when looking at a tree, or a telephone pole, from a distance and thinking that they see curves or bends in it that really don’t exist.
