Adrenergic

Adrenergic refers to the body's secretion of the neurotransmitters adrenaline and norepinephrine. These are secreted into the adrenergic nervous system (ANS) and are vital to the regulation of the cardiovascular system and smooth muscles. The adrenergic nervous system is a combination of the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), and enteric nervous system (ENS). It is responsible for coordinating the regulation of neurotransmitters throughout the body.
