AlleyDog.com offers three distinct advertising options (technical specifications and sizes are provided below):

1) Standard Banner -- the standard banner is the largest banner size we offer and is located on the top and bottom of most pages. You can place a standard banner on any page AlleyDog.com has the standard banners, except the Home Page.

2) Side Bar Banner (tile) -- the side bar banner is located on the blue stripe that runs down the left side of the Home Page. The differences between the standard and the side bar banners are size and location.

3) Sponsored Text Link -- the sponsored text link is located above the fold on any page AlleyDog.com allows text links except the Home Page. Text links are similar to banner ads except that they are not graphical images, but rather pure text.

4) Graduate School Search Engine -- this is a new advertising option for AlleyDog.com. Please click here for information about this option.

Advertising Programs:

AlleyDog.com offers two types of advertising programs and/or the option to customize an advertising program to meet your needs and budget. All advertising programs are based on monthly campaigns, with a 3-month minimum commitment.

1) Fixed Real Estate (FRE)
With this program, your banner will be displayed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the pages you choose. This is the best way to promote brand awareness and increase visibility since you "own" a specific location and are considered the page sponsor. With a Fixed Real Estate Program you can choose either of these two advertising options:

a) Standard Banner -- located in the top header, except for the Home Page
b) Sponsored Text Link -- located above the fold, except for the Home Page

2) Run of Site (ROS)
With this program, your banner will be displayed on numerous pages throughout the site on a rotating basis. There is one advertising option using this program:

a) Standard Banner -- located at the bottom of the page, except for the Home Page

3) Customized Campaigns

Maximum file size:	10K - any GIF file (except in text link: no images allowed).
HTML (including all images and HTML, maximum 3 images):	1) File format may be any GIF file or HTML. 2) No more than 3 graphic files within a single ad; all files together must not exceed 10k. 3) Alt-Text tag line may not exceed 45 spaces.
Animation:	Animation looping is limited to 3 loops.
Forms:	No forms please.
Image maps:	Client side image maps only please.
Coding:	No Java, Javascript, Shockwave or compiled source code please.
Closing date:	5 business days prior to posting date
Other notes:	1) HTML banners must be served by AlleyDog.com; no remotely served ads. 2) Any tables used within the ad must be limited to our ad dimensions. 3) AlleyDog.com must receive all source code for quality control (no compiled source code will be accepted). 4) HTML banners will require a minimum 5-day lead time.

Please include the following information:	1) URL link. 2) Alt-Text tag line. 3) Live dates. 4) For changes to existing orders please include description of all changes (Keywords, Net Directory Pages etc..) 5) Your company name (if applicable), contact information (email, phone, fax), name of product, insertion order number etc.
Closing date:	Materials must be received by noon in order to be posted 5 business days after materials are received; for example, materials received by 12pm on Monday will be posted by next Monday morning (we do try to post banners in less than 5 days)
